Events

In order for the WCEF to be in a position to provide immediate short-term emergency financial assistance to families in need, we must continuously replenish the Fund. The WCEF solicits the support of the community via events twice yearly:

July 2010:

Mike Fitzpatrick Annual Golf Tournament at Mont Cascades Golf Club
Steak dinner and silent auction at the Wakefield Legion (date to be confirmed.)

Spring 2011:

Giant Silent Auction

Event Planning

In case of major financial support requirements, there must be sufficient community awareness of the emergency situation so as to give reasonable grounds for concluding that a special event effort will be successful.
The Board will give careful consideration to affiliations with other associations or group events to ensure the objectives and results are in the best interest of the WCEF.

Donation Jars

These creative jars with the WCEF logo, will soon be found at local merchants in the Wakefield community.
